Engineered Hardwood
Engineered hardwood
flooring is a product made up of a core of hardwood, plywood or
HDF and a top layer of hardwood veneer that is glued on the top
surface of the core and is available in almost any hardwood
species. The product thus has the natural characteristics of the
selected wood species as opposed to a photographic layer found
on laminate. The “engineered” product has been designed to
provide greater stability, particularly where moisture or heat
pose problems for solid hardwood floors. This product has snap
locking grooves similar to a laminate flooring system and can be
glued, nailed or left as a floating floor system. Engineered flooring is one of our
most popular and fastest selling products so we always like
to advise those of you driving any great distance to call
ahead to make sure we have the colors and styles you are
considering in stock as our website is not always completely
up to date.
